11/29/07 - Phil Clarke took  panoramic pictures of the beach at AO a couple years ago. He sent me the files and I spliced the four photos together (you would be very hard pressed to tell where the seams are) into an image that measures about 6"H X 24"L. You can download this TIFF file to your hard drive and then copy it to a CD. Take it to Staples or someplace where they have a large format printer (it may even be able to be made into an even larger image at a printer or sign shop) and have it printed on photographic paper for just a few dollars. Frame it and you'll have a really great AO memory! The file is about 9 MB so if you have dial-up connection you might want to go somewhere where you'll have a faster connection to download it - see the image below.

12/30/06 - The 7th Annual "For All The Marbles" volleyball tournament was held at Miami Everglades Campground. See the pictures and read the commentary here. We had so much fun that next year's tournament is already being planned for Saturday, December 29, 2007. It's never too soon to sign up! If you have a million dollars or so you can buy a new condo at the Playa Cristal Resort, which is replacing our beautiful campground. Or maybe not! There's a rumor that the project has gone bust and the sites will be for sale from about $80,000. We can never replace America Outdoors, there just isn't any other spot that even compares, but as Barb Mueller says "paradise isn't where you are, it's who you're with". So keep in touch with your friends from AO and join the forum.
