February 11, 2010 - A Memorial Service for Gary Mueller who passed away on October 21, 2009 took place on the grounds of our former America Outdoors on Thursday, February 11th. Over 40 people came from Miami Everglades and the Keys. Barb was there via phone. Go to the forum to read more and see the pictures from the service.
There is also a slideshow of Mikey, who sadly has passed away, the link is in the forum.
June 6, 2009 - The AO Forum is now available again. The site has moved to a new server and the latest version of the forum script has been installed. The database has been restored, however unfortunately all the avatars were lost, please re-upload your images. The look of the forum still needs to be customized again but everything works.
This news courtesy of Phil & Amy Clarke:
B-Day Invasion - 12:00 Noon, March 5, 2009 - Today at 12:00 noon the Ex-AO forces landed and secured the former America Outdoors beach in Key Largo led by Paul Mason and Earl & Evelyn. About 45 to 50 AOers participated. There were no casualties during the landing (everyone brought their lunch & chairs). The Marine police stopped and tried to out flank us but were not successful due to Reggie, Susie, and Gary & Barb with their German Shepherds. We moved off The Beach at about 2:00 pm and moved onto other campsites without any resistance or casualties. The average age was high but all fought bravely and successfully took the Beach. See pictures here... if you have pictures too please send them to to me via and I will add them to the slideshow!
5/24/08 - Playa Cristal developers have defaulted on $40-plus million in loans. From the Keys Free Press article of May 14, 2008 sent by Bob Bartz. Click here to read the article:

11/29/07 - Phil Clarke took panoramic pictures of the beach at AO a couple years ago. He sent me the files and I spliced the four photos together (you would be very hard pressed to tell where the seams are) into an image that measures about 6"H X 24"L. You can download this TIFF file to your hard drive and then copy it to a CD. Take it to Staples or someplace where they have a large format printer (it may even be able to be made into an even larger image at a printer or sign shop) and have it printed on photographic paper for just a few dollars. Frame it and you'll have a really great AO memory! The file is about 9 MB so if you have dial-up connection you might want to go somewhere where you'll have a faster connection to download it - see the image below.
To download this large file, RIGHT click and then choose "Save target as" and pick a place on your hard drive to save it: RIGHT click here to download.

Have a picture you want included on this web site?
it to me.

There are pictures of previous tournaments and campground happenings from prior years still at: http://www.florida.davidlpark.com.
